The benefits of CBD are becoming more and more well-known as cannabis research moves steadily along following the relaxation of cannabis laws around the world.

The natural chemical compound – which, unlike THC, does not intoxicate – has been found to be effective at treating conditions such as chronic pain, epilepsy and PTSD, among others.

Studies have also shown it to be a potent anti-inflammatory agent, have anti-anxiety properties, and even offer some neuroprotective qualities. This has made it a popular preventative medicine with those looking to protect their health.

The rise of CBD hemp buds

In places where cannabis is not yet legal, such as Europe and a number of U.S. states, people have started utilizing a hemp as a way to consume CBD. Hemp is low in THC, meaning it won’t get you high, while offering higher levels of CBD. And, as hemp is legal to grow under licence, it has become the main source for CBD in the U.S, and Europe.

While CBD extracts and oils have been popular for a number of years now, CBD-rich hemp buds (or flowers) have only recently become a viable way of getting CBD. This is due to growers breeding seedless varieties with more and more CBD content.

What are the benefits of CBD hemp buds?

  1. CBD hemp buds provide the ‘entourage effect’

The entourage effect describes how all the cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids of cannabis work together synergistically inside the human body to produce an enhanced effect when compared with single-cannabinoid preparations. As CBD hemp buds contain a full profile of cannabinoids (including a small amount of THC), terpenes and flavonoids, they may be more effective than many CBD extracts and concentrates.

  1. CBD hemp buds are raw and natural

Providing they are grown organically and without the use of pesticides, CBD hemp buds are completely natural and with little processing (just trimming and curing). And, as no extraction process is needed to create the product, there is no risk of contamination from solvents or other chemicals that are often used during extraction.

  1. CBD hemp buds are extremely versatile

You can choose to vaporize, smoke, or cook with CBD-rich hemp buds, making it a very versatile product and useful for treating a variety of conditions. For example, you could use hemp buds to make a cup of hemp tea, to smoke with instead of tobacco, to bake a cake with, or to make your own balms and salves.
