As cannabidiol (CBD) continues to rise in popularity, hemp flowers are becoming the go-to product for many medicinal users. Vaping hemp flowers vs. smoking, what’s better for you?

The benefits are virtually limitless, but what is the best way to consume hemp flowers to make sure you’re actually reaping said benefits? As you may have already guessed, vaping hemp flowers is a much better way to consume than smoking. Smoking hemp, albeit nowhere near as harmful as smoking tobacco, does release a certain amount of carcinogens into the body just for the simple reason that a plant is being combusted. Vaping hemp on the other hand, uses high heat to release a much cleaner inhalant.

Hemp Contains Abundant CBD

Now back to the topic of smoking hemp, since this is a fairly new concept. Hemp is good because it has naturally high levels of cannabidiol and little to no THC. By law, hemp can only contain a certain amount of THC so it doesn’t produce any of the mind altering effects that many people are concerned with. Little known fun fact, if you happen to smoke too much THC-dominant flower and you start feeling “too high”, you can smoke hemp or use other CBD products to bring your mind back down to a comfortable level.

That being said, CBD has many benefits in addition to creating equilibrium when you’ve smoked too much regular cannabis. With new medical studies and evidence coming to light almost every single day, it’s no surprise that many people are making the switch from THC to CBD. Cannabidiol can be used to alleviate a wide range of ailments including (but not limited to) epilepsy, anxiety, depression, pain, inflammation, nausea, and PTSD.

Why Is Vaping Better?

When it comes to safe consumption, vaporization is definitely the way to go. Traditional smoking creates tar and many other carcinogens, just like cigarettes, hookah and all other burned products (but bear in mind that smoking cannabis and hemp is still much safer than smoking any of the aforementioned substances.) Vaping also utilizes high heat but not quite as hot as fire so the substance being used – hemp flower in this case – never reaches the point of combustion.

This not only reduces the amount of carcinogens being inhaled, but it doesn’t destroy the terpenes and essential oils. Terpenes and oils are what make the cannabinoids effective in the first  place. This is especially beneficial for patients who have issues with their respiratory or immune systems.
