Fake CBD In Utah Causes Seizures And Serious Medical Issues

Written by Corre Addam

When it comes to CBD products, you need to ensure that you are taking pre-approved and pure CBD…

It was only a matter of time, and everyone’s worst fears were realized; at least in Utah. Those fears consisted of completely fake CBD, purchased by patients in Utah at a local store. The CBD Oil in question, analysed by The Utah Poison Control Center (UPCC), turned out to be a synthetic spice-like substance, which actually causes seizures, and worse.

The product in question is being sold at Wasatch Front smoke shops, and possibly some other outlets. Meanwhile, the UPCC and Department of Public Safety (DPS) have issued a warning regarding a product labeled as “CBD” oil that is being sold at area smoke shops.

The UPCC have received countless complaints already about this product, raising some uncomfortable questions about the safety of CBD derived products. The irony here being that real CBD is totally healthy, doesn’t change your mindset and has no side effects. Spice on the other hand is a dangerous cannabis copy which has even led to deaths.

CBD products are legal for medical use in Utah, mainly for people suffering from seizures, after neurological diagnosis.

Department of Public Safety Lt. Todd Royce told reporters, “In our opinion, it’s people trying to skirt the law. And it’s dangerous.”
