With the current CBD buzz sweeping North America, Oklahoma could be the next state to see full legalization of medical cannabis. Oklahoma patients already seem to prefer CBD for chronic pain and seizures…
Until cannabis legislation is clarified in Oklahoma, many people suffering from a variety of conditions are choosing CBD products over prescription meds, with a recent sharp increase in CBD sales.
With CBD treating many issues with little side-effects if any, many people seem to be open to trying the natural product, before they go get a script from their doctor. as Becky Adams, owner of Midwest Wellness in El Reno, told reporters, “More and more people are finding out about it, and more and more people are wanting to try it.”
Oklahoma, like so many other states in America, as well as countries in Europe, has seen a rapidly growing awareness of CBD, since the state eased restrictions on the non-psychoactive compound in the cannabis plant. Patients wanting to treat anything from anxiety to PTSD, seizures and chronic pain have been asking about CBD, and many have already made their purchases.
Take for example Dianna Johnston, who wanted to give her 10-year-old son Matthew CBD for seizures he was having, instead of the meds given by doctors. As Johnston explained, “We tried two different medications, which actually increased the seizures, and turned him into an angry, raging little kid.” After giving the child CBD drops, Johnston continued, “It’s made a big difference in his life. We’re very thankful.”
Another happy patient is Rene Custer, who takes CBD regularly for diabetic neuropathy and other related health issues. Custer explained, “The pain that I’ve had consistently, from my legs to my hips, was gone,” she said. And she is just one example of the tens of thousands of people who say they have benefited greatly from using CBD.
Becky Adams also spoke about the stigmas surrounding CBD, “It was so stereotyped, and people that are skeptical either give the thumbs up or the stern look, like what are you doing,” she said, adding, “It just works, it does. And that’s what I tell people. Just try it. You won’t be sorry.”
