When statements of absolute truth fall on deaf ears, questions come in and save the day…
How can you win an argument about medical cannabis if neither side is listening? If you were told that you had one mouth and two ears and that you should use them proportionally, would you listen? Shouldn’t you listen twice as much as you talk? Can we even debate about whether or not cannabis kills cancer?
When it comes to “winning” an argument, what is it that you’re winning? Are you winning bragging rights, rewarding yourself with an ego boost, or are you doing what’s right for humanity? If you’re doing what is right, then you have all the courage in the world available to do the right thing and defend the truth. You KNOWING, that you know the truth is powerful. What good is knowing the truth if you are not “doing” anything with this knowledge?
What do we do with knowledge once we’ve learned it? Why learn ANYTHING for that matter? And the answer is, learn “useful” and practical things that you can apply NOW in real life.
How do questions about medical cannabis science save the day when statements of truth fall on deaf ears?
Let’s think honestly for a moment and wonder HOW you would respond to an ORDER versus a request, or a suggestion? You know that you intuitively know the answer to this question. You respond better to requests, and you despise being ordered around! This is why we say please and thank you.
How can we use questions, while listening to the response, as a way of “winning” an argument about cannabis? The truth is you MUST stick to the truth and speak in evidence based (scientific) knowledge. Steer clear of anecdotal evidence, such as my friend’s sister’s cousin’s mom did XYZ. While these stories “could” be true, science doesn’t take “hear say” information seriously.
We also must stay away from OVERARCHING “stretches” of the truth, such as cannabis cures cancer. Whether or not this is true, how can you prove it? What scientific peer reviewed journal can you specifically cite that holds the pillars of your foundational argument together? It’s nice to have surface information, but without depth of knowledge, you’re just another stoner justifying your habit.
Without further adieu, here are a few basic pillars of scientific wisdom to start you off WINNING any argument about medical cannabis, even about whether or not Cannabis kills cancer:
You must memorize these next few bite-sized wisdom wafers. Once you memorize them, you must then practice saying them again and again. Once practiced and you’re feeling confident, you’ll be ready to “fire” them off any time you need to! You’re ready to WIN the minds of “ignore-ant” family and friends who would normally choose to ignore.
Cancer is a normal cell that has become immortalized. Cannabis may not “cure” any and ALL types of cancer in EVERY situation. But. Big pharma owns US Patent 20130059018 that suggests that cannabis kils cancer. Cannabis can kill cancer by re-activating the apoptosis switch inside of “immortalized” cancer cells. Yes, cannabis CAN kill cancer cells. It kills the immortalized cancer cell by allowing it to experience a natural, and normal, cell death.
Dr. Donald Tashkin, a pulmonary (lung) specialist, of UCLA medical, recently concluded a very long cannabis study. His study revolved around lung cancer from smoked cannabis vs tobacco smokers vs nonsmokers of anything. His conclusions are as follows:
- Chronic cannabis smokers lungs didn’t develop any abnormalities, whereas tobacco smokers did.
- Cannabis smokers showed no rate of lung function decline and tobacco smokers did.
- Cannabis smokers are not at risk for COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
- Bottom line, they failed to find any positive association between heavy cannabis use and lung cancer. (In fact, the risks were a little bit “less” than one, meaning heavy cannabis smoking reduces your chance of getting lung cancer). Dr. Donald Tashkin Marijuana Lung Cancer Study Pt 1 of 2 (17:42)
Dr. David Allen, a retired cardiac surgeon and member of the ICRS (International Cannabinoid Research Society) said, “The discovery of the ECS (endocannabinoid system) is the single most important medical/scientific discovery EVER and it will save more lives than the discovery and application of sterile surgical techniques. More people will be saved by the ECS than are currently saved by surgery”
The ECS (endocannabinoid system) is responsible for regulating homeostasis. Homeostasis is the body’s ability to maintain itself and function in a proper environment.
Here is the one final question to have memorized and ready to go.
How is cannabis a schedule 1 drug, where the government claims to have ZERO medical value? And at the same time, how can the United States Government, Department Of Health & Human Services own US Patent 6630507 asserting cannabis has LOTS of medical value?
DEMAND simple answers to simple questions and at the end of the day, you will win because you are “forcing” the mind to see reality and common sense as it really is. Present this information and ask these questions and you will find yourself “silently” winning EVERY argument about medical cannabis.
